Hawaii is the land of aloha, and aloha is meant to be shared, as the people of this island are generously sharing their 'aina (land) with you. Be aware of your impact on this special island, and show courtesy and respect for its people and their culture. That is what aloha is all about. |

Here are some tried and true vacation guidelines: Rule 1: A smile goes a long way... the locals and your fellow visitors have lots of information to share with a friendly inquiring soul. Rule 2: The riches are to be found on the journey, not the destination. Translation: Don't rush off looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, instead take time to enjoy the rainbow. Rule 3: Every side road is an adventure waiting to happen. Rule 4: Leave the 'aina the way you found it. Do not remove sacred lava rocks from anywhere. |
